Classes are suitable for ALL levels of experience and mobility. NO previous experience is necessary.

Contrary to popular belief, yoga is not defined by your ability to touch your toes, balance upside-down, or get on and off the floor with ease. If we strip yoga back to it’s foundations, yoga is the union of mind, body and breath. Asana, the physical postures of yoga, are just one component.
As physios, we love the movement-based aspects of yoga and the incredible benefits of synchronising breath with movement, finding balance, building strength, and lengthening into a shape that feels so grounding you could fall asleep. We also love creatively combining movement, breath-work and meditation, to guide a yoga sequence that serves to fill your cup in the way that you need.

Group Yoga Classes

Our small group face-to-face and online classes run weekly by the term, to help you to get the most out of your practice.
Current classes include:
01. Gentle
Suitable for all abilities and perfect for beginners and pre and post natal. A focus on gentle, mindful movements including strength, stability and mobility, relaxation and restoration. A wonderful way to wind down.
02. Slow Flow
Incorporates slightly stronger and more challenging strength, stability and mobility poses, with slow flow sequences and holds. Includes relaxation and meditation. All poses can be modified, suitable for all abilities.
03. Yin/Restorative
Suitable for all abilities. Consists of a calming breath practice, yin yoga (poses that are held for 4-6 minutes each to help lengthen and release your deep connective tissues), restorative poses, guided meditation and relaxation. Bolsters and props are used to support you. Total bliss for your body and mind.
04. prenatal yoga
Specifically designed for pregnant women, and can encourage a sense of deep connection to yourself and your growing baby. Incorporates techniques to relax the body and mind, reduce aches and pains, support a healthy pregnancy, and prepare your body for birth.

For group classes, term payment is required up front to secure your booking. Payment options are advised at the time of booking.
All of Nurture’s group classes are led by physiotherapists, meaning they may be claimable under physiotherapy extras with most private health funds. Contact your health fund to check if you are covered.
